Welcome
Oslo, Norway, June 17-21, 2007
Conference start: Sunday afternoon, June 17 − Opening, Keynote address, Reception.
Conference end: Thursday afternoon, June 21, following Closing Remarks.

The local organizing committee and the steering group of the Bacillus−ACT Conference are pleased to announce the 2007 Conference in Oslo, Norway. This is a fusion of two meetings otherwise known as the 7th International Conference on Anthrax, and the 5th International Workshop on the Molecular Biology of Bacillus cereus, B. anthracis, and B. thuringiensis. While the Anthrax Conference has been a biannual event since the Winchester meeting in 1989, the Bc/Ba/Bt workshop was first arranged in Oslo in 1997, and is this year. The mission of the conference is to bring together researchers involved in scientific research related to the physiology, genetics, genomics, molecular biology, and pathogenicity of these bacteria.
NEW: A half-day training workshop will be given by the Bioinformatics Resource Center (BRC), The Institute for Genomic Research (TIGR), before the official start of the Bacillus−ACT conference on Sunday June 17th, to introduce the new Pathema−Bacillus resource (projected release date April 2007) to the Bacillus scientific community.
